Justin Bieber Postpones World Tour After Contracting COVID-19
Justin Bieber has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) and will be rescheduling all his shows.
The 27-year-old Canadian popstar was due to perform at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, 20 February, as part of his “The Justice” world tour – which started in San Diego, California two days before –, but that plan was scuppered when he learned of his condition the day before.
News of Bieber’s “mild” condition was revealed by his representative to an American tabloid outlet on Sunday.
“Due to positive [COVID-19] results within ‘The Justice’ tour family, we will unfortunately have to postpone Sunday’s show in Las Vegas,” a statement from the touring outfit announced on Instagram. “Justin is of course hugely disappointed, but the health and safety of his crew and fans is always his number one priority.”
The date for the Las Vegas show has now been moved to 28 June, while organisers will honour original tickets and make refunds available.
Here’s to Bieber’s speedy recovery!
